
What is the difference between the NCAA, the NAIA, and the NJCAA?
The very simple answer to this questions is that those are three different governing bodies who each run their own divisions. The NCAA is the oldest one of the three and also the one with the most amount of teams. The NCAA has three divisions, each with its own set of rules and its own scholarship limits. While teams are allowed to give out sports scholarships in division 1 and division 2, division 3 colleges are not allowed to give out any type of athletic scholarships.
