⦿ College Fencing has a very long and rich history dating back to the early 1900s
⦿ While there are numerous varsity teams, many schools offer fencing in the form of a club team
⦿ College fencing is a team sport where each team’s individual results are combined for the total team score
⦿ There are 37 men’s and 46 women’s teams across all divisions and roughly 1,500 college fencers
⦿ Scholarship limits per team: D1 Men – 4.5, D1 Women – 5, D2 Men – 4.5, D2 Women – 4.5
⦿ Most successful college fencing programs: Penn State, Ohio State, Columbia, Notre Dame, Wayne State
