⦿ College wrestling has a very long and rich history dating back all the way to 1928
⦿ Women’s wrestling is not an official NCAA or NAIA sport, while men’s wrestling is
⦿ This does not mean that there are no scholarship opportunities for female wrestlers
⦿ As a matter of fact, women’s wrestling is one of the fastest growing college sports
⦿ In total there are 370 college wrestling teams and about 11,000 college wrestlers
⦿ Scholarship limits per team: D1 – 9.9, D2 – 9, NAIA – 8, NJCAA – 20
⦿ Most succesful college wrestling teams: Penn State, Iowa, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Michigan, Ohio State
