⦿ While there are numerous men’s field hockey teams, scholarships are only available on the women’s side
⦿ About 15% of all college field hockey players come from outside of the United States
⦿ Women’s college field hockey is an equivalency sport, meaning that coaches can split up their scholarship between their players which leads to even more scholarship opportunities for talented female players
⦿ There are about 275 college field hockey programs and roughly 6,000 college players across all divisions
