COLLEGE RUGBY QUICK FACTS
⦿ Rugby is still a fairly new sport at the collegiate level and new club and varsity teams are being added on a yearly basis
⦿ While funding for rugby is still somewhat limited, there are rugby scholarships available
⦿ There are currently 28 men’s and 29 women’s rugby teams and about 1,000 players on each side
⦿ Rugby is an equivalency sport, meaning that coaches can split up their scholarships and offer partial as well as full scholarships
⦿ Scholarship limits per team: Women – 12, Men – no set limit
⦿ Most successful college rugby teams: California, Kutztown, Dartmouth, Lindenwood
